Seven Simple Steps
- Remove Old Materials
We clear out old finishes from your basement. We remove damaged drywall, wood, and linoleum flooring. Mold-damaged materials go out first.
- Install Windows & Stairs
We prep the stairs for finishing. We install new windows if needed. This step helps us plan wall space accurately.
- Add Walls & Doors
We start with fire blocking for safety. Wall materials have a Class A fire rating. Our installers create channels for electrical outlets and switches. We install doors between rooms and closets.
- Set Up Ceiling & Lighting
In this step, we box out girders and beams. We work around vents and obstacles. Energy Swing installs crown molding before the drop ceiling. We add all lighting before placing ceiling tiles.
*Our ceiling tiles include a 30-year warranty against sagging and mold.
- Install Flooring
You’ll appreciate that our in-house installers sweep thoroughly before laying floors. No grout or adhesives are used. Your new floor is ready to walk on immediately. We add underlayment for uneven floors.
- Apply Finishing Touches
Various base trim and door casing designs are offered. We can add shelving, TV mounts, or wall lights. Energy Swing customizes every basement to match your vision.
- Clean Up
We ensure your space is move in ready, removing all dust and debris. We haul away all old materials. You can enjoy your new basement right away.
